QR Code

QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode used to store and quickly access information about rental assets, containers, or documents. In a rental management context, these codes serve as digital links between physical equipment and the software database, allowing for instantaneous tracking and status updates.

Key Details:

  • System Functionality: QR codes are primarily used for tracking Serialized Assets and Container Labels, enabling users to identify specific units without manual data entry.
  • Mobile Integration: These codes are designed to be scanned via mobile devices or warehouse scanners to trigger actions such as Dispatch, Pickup, or Inspection.
  • Data Storage: They can store a variety of data, including serial numbers, SKU details, maintenance history links, or digital packing lists

Use Case Example

A warehouse manager needs to prepare a large order of 20 serialized power drills. Instead of typing each Serial Number into the system, the manager scans the QR Code attached to each drill’s casing. The PREXA365 system automatically updates the status of each specific unit to Assets On Hold. It adds them to the Transport Ticket, significantly reducing the risk of clerical errors and speeding up the dispatch process.
