Environment Fee

Environment Fee is defined as a specific charge included in a rental asset to cover environmental management expenses. This fee is used for activities such as recycling, waste disposal, or ensuring adherence to environmental regulations related to the rented equipment.

Key Details:

  • System Category: This term is found in both the Rental Order Line Item – General (Pricing) and the Asset Group – General (Pricing) sections. 
  • Purpose: It helps rental companies manage the environmental impact of equipment maintenance and usage by offsetting the costs of regulatory compliance and waste handling. 

Use Case Example

When a customer places a rental order for construction assets, the system may automatically include an Environment Fee of $20 per line item . this amount is specifically allocated to manage the environmental costs associated with maintaining that piece of heavy machinery during its rental period.
