DDR – Day Delegate Rate

DDR (Day Delegate Rate) is a standardized pricing structure commonly used by venues, hotels, and conference centers for corporate events and meetings. It is a comprehensive, all-inclusive charge per attendee, per day, that bundles multiple services into a single transparent rate.

Key Details:

  • Standard Inclusions: While offerings vary by venue, a typical DDR package includes the hire of the meeting room, refreshments (coffee/tea), a working lunch, and basic audiovisual (AV) equipment such as projectors and screens.

  • Simplified Budgeting: This rate allows event organizers to predict total costs easily by multiplying the DDR by the number of expected attendees, rather than itemizing separate costs for room hire, catering, and equipment.

Use Case Example

An event planner booking a venue for a 50-person training workshop selects an 8-hour DDR of $75 per person. Instead of receiving separate bills for the room, the morning pastries, the buffet lunch, and the projector rental, the system calculates a single cost of $3,750, providing the client with a clear and predictable total for their corporate budget.
